Examples of Equality, Diversity, Age and Community Cohesion Toolkits used by various organisations

- Evaluating Diversity Training Toolkit This Guide to Evaluating Diversity Training was developed as part of the Fireworks for Equality in the Fire Service Project, undertaken by Anglia Ruskin University with the contributions of members of the FRS who attended a series of seminars around the country. Although this document has been designed with the Fire and Rescue Service in mind, it also serves as a framework for all practitioners and organisations involved in the delivery of Diversity training to reflect on their efforts and draw out valuable lessons. The document may be downloaded and adapted for use as required. 2005.
- BOS - Part of the Welsh Assembly Government and EU funded Potentia project, BOS was run between April 2005 and March 2007 in partnership between Menter a Busnes, a widely experienced Economic Development Company, and the Tredegar Development Trust. Established in 1989, Menter a Busnes aims to inspire the Welsh, and Welsh speakers in particular, to become more entrepreneurial and economically active. They have a variety of resources developed to raise awareness about age diversity in business.

- Community Cohesion: SEVEN STEPS - A Practitioner's Toolkit - Community cohesion describes the ability of communities to function and grow in harmony together rather than in conflict. It has strong links to concepts of equality and diversity given that community cohesion can only grow when society as a whole recognises that individuals have the right to equality (of treatment, access to services etc) and respects and appreciates the diverse nature of our communities. March 2005.
- Cultural Diversity in Britain - A toolkit for cross-cultural co-operation from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation. 2006. ( .pdf).
- Educating for Race Equality - A Toolkit for Scottish Teachers. In 2001, a project was funded by the Scottish Executive Education Department (SEED) following recommendations made in the report of the Stephen Lawrence Inquiry (Macpherson Report, 1999) regarding the need to include anti-racism within the curriculum. In responding to the Report, Scottish Ministers gave an undertaking to consider further the position of anti-racism in the curriculum. The aim of the project was to consult with teachers across Scotland about the current issues of race equality in education and develop a package of materials aimed at addressing the identified needs.

- Good Practice Guide - for voluntary organisations and larger community groups. These guidelines will take you through the process of involving and supporting volunteers so as to make it a successful partnership. It is hoped that through using these tools you may be able to further develop good practice when working with volunteers whether they be self-help group members, community activists or volunteers. Produced by the Brighton and Hove Together project for the Brighton and Hove Volunteer Bureau.
- Good Talking - The HE Communicators Equality and Diversity Toolkit produced by The Equality Challenge Unit and Higher Education Funding Council for England. May 2004. ( .pdf).
- Government Office for the South West - GOSW Community and Equality team has produced an interactive Community Cohesion toolkit that is designed to bring communities closer together. April 2005.

- Self-assessment Checklist, on Cultural Diversity for Museums, Libraries and Archives to use to assess their services.
- Community Cohesion Toolkit from Oldham Council. This toolkit is designed to help people involved in the delivery of projects - especially smaller projects with limited time and stretched resources - evaluate their project and its impact on community cohesion. Many of the materials in this toolkit are also applicable to more general evaluation work.

- A Diversity Toolkit for Scouting and Guiding. This project has been funded by the European Youth Foundation as part of the "All Different All Equal" campaign to promote Diversity, Human Rights and Participation among young people living in Europe today.
