Dialogue
Facilitators’ Network
The Facilitators’ Network is being established as a group of practitioners from the Bradford District who are committed to exploring and creating ways through which people living and working in the District are able to develop ways of talking which,
-
reduces stereotypes;
-
increases mutual understanding;
-
leads to the possibility that participants discover that they share values and concerns;
-
leads to a change in the way people relate to each other;
-
may lead to further collaborative action.
There are some conversations in the District that are more difficult and involve more thought and planning than others. One of the greatest challenges is finding ways for people with very different values and experiences to talk to each other.
In recent years, many practitioners across the Bradford District have become aware of people in other parts of the world developing and rediscovering ways to share difficult conversations. The Diversity Exchange is committed to this area of work and through the network will bring together a group of practitioners to share their experiences, build skills and confidence and ultimately contribute to better community relations in the Bradford District.
If you are interested in finding out more about the network please contact Martin Pearson who is leading on this work on behalf of the Diversity Exchange. Contact Martin on Thursdays or Fridays on 01274 201228.
